The Jordan Wings collection will launch exclusively in Beijing in March 2024. Releasing in limited quantities in China, the Jordan Wings collection is Jordan Brand’s most important product capsule to date. Each product is made in Italy and highlights Jordan Brand’s approach to meticulous craftsmanship, rich materials, and a commitment to excellence. The collection stays true to the fundamentals that have cemented Jordan Brand’s iconic status in sport, culture, and style – from 1984 to today – and elevates them to a heritage status built to endure for future generations.
The Jordan Wings collection includes limited editions of the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 and Air Jordan 1 Low ’85. These pairs were handcrafted in Italy. Three of the four models were made with Italian leather, while the fourth model is made from hair-on-hide. Each upper was hand-stitched by an Italian craftsman and features hand-painted leather edges in three layers across the entire surface. The inner lining is made from thick satin, molded with foot-conforming properties to deliver unprecedented comfort.
The apparel collection includes a range of timeless basketball-inspired silhouettes, such as a hoodie, a jacket, diamond shorts, and a tracksuit. These pieces are made from premium fleece, cashmere, and other high-end materials. Other apparel styles, such as hoodies and T-shirts, are influenced by the Jumpman legacy, featuring details that have been masterfully refined over time. For example, the Jordan Wings mesh sweater is modeled after a nylon basketball net and was hand-stitched by Italian artisans for seven hours to achieve the realistic properties of an actual net.
The accessories are inspired by the proportions of the classic Jordan Wings logo, either through their patterns or their dimensions, such as the luxurious wing-shaped bag made from premium calf leather.
