Slam Jam x Timberland 6-Inch Boot drops October 20th, 2026

The Timberland x Slam Jam collaboration revisits the Heritage 6-Inch Waterproof Boot through the lens of a New York story that helped shape Slam Jam founder Luca Benini’s connection to the iconic style. It marks the first collaboration between the two brands.

Benini first encountered the city in the early 1990s, when music, clothing and street life met in a visual culture shaped by hip-hop, workwear, public housing, graffiti and local subcultures. The Timberland boot was already familiar, but New Yorkers gave it a distinct meaning, adopting a hard-wearing New England work boot as a sign of resilience and authenticity. That reading differed from the boot’s place in Italy. In the late 1980s, the Paninari youth movement embraced imported labels and a leisure-minded, aspirational style, as fashion marked a shift from the political intensity of the decade before. Benini’s affection for Timberland, by contrast, began in New York, where the boot had been claimed and reshaped by its community.

Nearly four decades on, Slam Jam continues to revisit objects whose cultural meaning grew through the people who adopted them. Its latest collaboration carries that approach into the Heritage 6-Inch Waterproof Boot, connecting the boot’s shared history to the communities and stories that made it an icon.

Photographed by Virginia-born, North Carolina-raised artist Kennedi Carter, the campaign focuses on intimacy, embodiment, community and portraiture. New York rapper Wikiset, a founding member of underground hip-hop group Ratking, stars in the film, which features his track “Park.” The song celebrates the city’s parks as gathering places where people build everything from poetry sessions to skate brands and competitions; Slam Jam’s New York embassy is a short distance from Tompkins Square Park, a location referenced in the track.

The silhouette retains its familiar shape, with both brands’ logos engraved along the lateral side and a silver chain carrying a leather tag bearing Slam Jam’s inverted A signature. The boot comes with black and smoked pearl laces.

Where will the Timberland x Slam Jam boot be available?

The boot will be sold exclusively through Slam Jam and Timberland channels this fall. The official release date for this limited edition colorway is October 20th, 2026. It is the first collaboration between the two brands, centered on a defining Timberland silhouette. Explore the Timberland x Slam Jam boot and campaign in the images below.
