adidas and Yohji Yamamoto are bringing back the Y-3 F50 TUNIT ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026™, reviving one of football's most influential design crossovers 20 years after its original 2006 debut.
First shown in Paris during Y-3's Fall/Winter 2026 presentation, the return includes a walkable lifestyle interpretation of the original Beast Pack and an updated performance boot. The street-ready version reprises the original Dragon, Tiger, Eagle, and Wolf graphics, while the cleated model keeps the 2006 artwork and lace cover with modern F50 tooling.
For on-pitch performance, the 2026 F50 ELITE FG TUNIT Y-3 centers on the Wolf concept and introduces adidas' latest technical platform, including a HYBRIDTOUCH upper, SPRINTFRAME 360 outsole and heel counter, plus haptic branding. Each pair is finished with Yohji Yamamoto's signature and is expected to appear on-foot with several top football athletes during the run-up to next summer's tournament.
When is Y-3 F50 TUNIT releasing?
The Y-3 F50 TUNIT is releasing through adidas channels and select retail partners worldwide. The official release date is April 1st, 2026. The launch lands in the Spring 2026 market window as adidas builds momentum toward the summer football calendar. With FIFA World Cup 2026 set for June to July across North America, this drop functions as an early-season statement ahead of the tournament cycle.
