Ronnie Fieg & New Balance Debut the 2011 to Celebrate Kith's 15th Year

Ronnie Fieg and New Balance are celebrating Kith's fifteenth anniversary, and fifteen years of their relationship, with the debut of an original silhouette: the New Balance 2011. The launch of the first-ever silhouette in the Kith & New Balance 15th Anniversary collection will be commemorated with the opening of New Balance at Kith, a collaborative store on the lower level of the Kith West Hollywood flagship.

The 2011 marks the culmination of Fieg and New Balance's fifteen-year relationship and adds a new chapter to a partnership that has already produced more than thirty silhouettes. Development began two years ago with the goal of creating a modern, heritage-inspired running model for the brand's archive, and Fieg worked closely with the New Balance team and designer Sam Pearce, who developed the 991v2, a silhouette he reveres. The upper was built from scratch, using an intricate multi-panel construction and pairing it with ABZORB tooling from the original New Balance 2002. Its name pays homage to the year Kith was established.

The 2011 arrives in four colorways that map the evolution of the collaboration: Bark, Redwood, Leaf, and Sakura. Those colorways also extend into the commemorative packaging, which uses watercolor illustrations to tell the story of a young Ronnie planting a seed that becomes Kith, watering it over time, and tending to its growth until it becomes a towering tree with branches, flowers, and leaves.

Bark and Redwood are built from premium boot leather and finished with tonal canvas underlays and tree ring-inspired topstitching. Leaf and Sakura take a color-blocked approach, pairing premium micro-pinched underlays with pigskin suede panels. Across all four styles, the pair includes custom-printed footbeds and three additional lace options, keeping the silhouette rooted in the anniversary story while giving each colorway its own execution.

The 2011 releases alongside the broader Kith & New Balance 15th Anniversary collection, which also includes reimagined technical jackets and shorts, mesh jerseys, headwear, and more. The range expands the story beyond footwear and positions the anniversary collection as a full seasonal offering built around the same design language and milestone moment.

The launch will coincide with the opening of New Balance at Kith, a collaborative store located on the lower level of the Kith West Hollywood flagship. The space will carry a curated assortment of men's and women's New Balance apparel, collaborative Kith & New Balance collections, a Japanese menswear assortment, and a footwear wall with more than 200 pairs of men's, women's, and kids' New Balance silhouettes. That lineup will include exclusive colorways of the 99X Series, Made in USA styles, and more, while also serving as an American distributor of New Balance Grey.

When is the 2011 releasing?

New Balance at Kith will get the first in-store drop on Friday, June 26, when the Kith & New Balance 15th Anniversary collection lands in West Hollywood. The Bark and Redwood colorways of the 2011 are tied exclusively to that location and will not appear at another Kith store or online. The broader apparel and accessories assortment, along with the Leaf and Sakura 2011 colorways, follows on Monday, June 29, at all US Kith stores, Kith Toronto, and online at 11AM EST/CET/GMT via Kith.com, CA.Kith.com, UK.Kith.com, EU.Kith.com, and the Kith App. The staggered rollout keeps the project anchored to the end of June and inside Kith's Summer 2026 calendar.
