Nike Basketball is returning with a new Kobe 8 Protro pack on February 8, 2024, this time in the "Court Purple" and "Aqua" colorways.
January 26, 2024 marked four years since the passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gigi Bryant. To honor this occasion, Vanessa Bryant and the Mamba & Mambacita Foundation decided to work together with Nike to launch two new color schemes of the Kobe 8 Protro.
Both pairs are inspired by the jersey numbers they wore: 8 and 24 for Kobe, and 2 for Gigi. The Nike Kobe 8 Protro "Court Purple" comes with a white upper covered in a repeating pattern of these numbers, colored in a shade of purple ("Court Purple"). The same purple is also used for the Kobe logo on the tongue, Kobe’s signature on the heel and the outsole. The pair is releasing in an extended men’s size run from EU 36 to 50.5, priced at 899 lei, as well as in kids’ sizes from EU 35.5 to 40, priced at 599 lei.
