Nike Basketball is finally bringing back Kobe Bryant's "Shanghai Fireworks" Nike Kobe 8 in Protro version, almost 13 years since their initial 2013 release.
Although it is too early to discuss an official release date, we have information about a new limited edition Nike Basketball release. According to multiple industry sources, the brand is releasing the Nike Kobe 8 Protro "Shanghai Fireworks" during Holiday 2026. The information was published by zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files.
The new model comes with product code IO6259-800 and is accompanied by a "Laser Orange / Cinnabar / Safety Orange" colorway. Since the colorway is a match with the 2013 "Shanghai Fireworks" limited edition, we can safely expect a Protro version to be releasing in 2026. For now, Nike has not confirmed rumours about this release. Nike usually avoids confirming information about limited edition releases. We're likely to find out more information about the upcoming drop in the near future.
