Nike Sportswear is releasing the Nike Air Max 90 "Bright Citrus" on May 21st, 2026, channeling the bold orange-and-black look of the original Hypervenom I boot released in 2013.
Nike has recently published official images of the Nike Air Max 90 in the "Bright Citrus" makeup, confirming the pair is part of the upcoming Summer 2026 lineup. Those images show the Hypervenom influence immediately through the fiery orange base, blacked-out mudguard and tooling, and the aggressive football-boot style texturing that also defined the Hypervenom RGN retro released in May 2025.
Product code IR1978-844 comes dressed in a "Bright Citrus / Black / Total Orange" colorway and is currently expected to retail for $150. The upper pairs a dimpled Bright Citrus forefoot and quarter with black overlays, while an oversized black Nike Swoosh stretches across the toebox for one of the pair's most distinctive details. Additional callouts include stylized "90" branding stamped onto the heel tabs and insoles, AM90 text running down the tongue, and a dark midsole with orange hits around the Air unit and outsole that keeps the football-inspired theme intact.
