After opening stores in London, Paris, and Tokyo, Ronnie Fieg is set to open another Kith store in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
Handsome Corp. announced in July 2023 that it had signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Kith, and is set to open the first Kith store in Seoul in 2024. The Kith store in Seoul is expected to be the 4th global store and the 2nd store in Asia. Besides apparel and footwear, the store will likely also include a dedicated area for Sadelle’s or Kith Treats, brunch and dessert restaurants that are present in several other Kith locations.
Handsome Corp. is part of Hyundai Department Store Group, a retail group founded in 1971 in Seoul. The company focuses on fashion, aiming to increase the number of foreign brands it sells. The goal of the group and the company is to sell more than 20 foreign brands, doubling their turnover over the next 5 years. At present, Handsome Corp. operates more than 1,380 stores and distributes brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.
When is the first Kith store in Seoul opening?
The Kith store in Seoul is set to open during the first half of 2024. A specific location or exact opening date has not yet been announced. Given Kith’s communication strategy, it is very likely that Ronnie Fieg will reveal the date and location soon.
