Official images of the collaboration between Vans and Imran Potato have surfaced confirming the release of the new Knu Skool MTE model during 2024.
The Knu Skool is currently one of Vansā most popular models, originally released in 1998. It received a retro release in 2015, and Vans has continued to produce the model ever since. A collaboration between Vans and Imran Potato is not surprising, considering they have already worked together on the Knu Skool. However, this collaboration appears to be among the first Knu Skool MTE versions released in 2024. It is also very likely that this is the first collaboration on this new model. The MTE abbreviation stands for āMountain Editionā, with materials designed to keep your feet dry and warm when the weather is bad. It is also important to note that MTE products are not considered waterproof.
Imran Potato (or Imran Moosvi, his real name) is a 29-year-old artist who grew up in New Jersey and lives in New York. He is known for the custom and bootleg clothing and footwear he produces. His most popular designs include patterns taken from Louis Vuitton and Gucci bags. One of his most recent collaborations was with Crocs, where he released the Caveman Slippers model. In general, his designs are provocative and are meant to get people talking about them. At the moment, he has already collaborated six times with Vans on different models such as the Sk8-Hi and Knu Skool.
