The famous Nike Dunk Low "Reverse Ultraman" from 1999 (originally released only in Japan) will release in its retro form during early 2024.
Originally released in 1999, the Nike Dunk “Reverse Ultraman” pair was exclusive to Japanese retailers, also carrying the “Co.JP” tag in the product name. With its 25th anniversary approaching, Nike has decided to release it again. Compared to the “Reverse Curry” pair, this one uses the same colors as the 1999 version, making it almost identical. The colors used on this model are inspired by a Japanese TV series and the costume of its main character. This model was extremely sought after in the past, so we expect it to sell out instantly. However, even though it is a quickstrike (QS), we are not sure the leather comes close to the quality of a special release (SP).
The Co.JP product line (short for Concept Japan) is the origin of limited editions, which were released long before quickstrike, hyperstrike and tier zero products, and long before the Nike SNKRS app existed. This product line emerged during the 1990s, when Nike sales reps in America could order “custom” pairs for clients (retail stores).
