The famous Nike Dunk Low "Reverse Curry" from 1999 (originally released exclusively in Japan) will release in its retro form on January 12, 2024.
Originally released in 1999, the Nike Dunk "Reverse Curry" was exclusive to Japanese retailers, also carrying the "Co.JP" tag in the product name. With its 25th anniversary approaching, Nike has decided to bring the pair back. Although the Nike Dunk Low "Reverse Curry" comes close to the 1999 version, the shade of brown is different from the original. Both the colorblocking and all the details have been preserved, making this a very successful retro overall (with the exception of the color). Even though this is a quickstrike (QS), we are not sure the leather comes close to the quality of a special project (SP).
The Co.JP product line (short for Concept Japan) is the parent of limited editions, which were released long before quickstrike, hyperstrike, and tier zero products, and long before the Nike SNKRS app existed. This product line emerged during the 1990s, when Nike sales reps in America could order “custom” pairs for clients (retail stores).
