Originally released in the early ’90s, the Nike Aqua Turf is an amphibious shoe designed to be worn both on land and in water. The upper is made from quick-drying mesh, and the sole is suitable for rocky terrain. The model is inspired by the Nike Aqua Sock, a pair of shoes released in the late ’80s. This pair is the perfect accessory for water sports, and probably for beach walks as well.
According to internal documents, it appears that Nike Sportswear plans to restart production of the model. Although it is far too early to discuss official release dates, several color schemes are already scheduled for Spring 2025. The Nike Aqua Turf is set to release in both men's and women's sizing.
There is not much information about this model available online, so it is difficult to estimate when its production started and when it ended. However, on platforms like eBay we can find pairs from 1992 and 1994, while Aqua Sock pairs were produced between 1987 and 1989 according to multiple sources.
You can see below photos of the "Night Blue / Royal Blue" colorway (with product code 190008-441) that released in 1994, courtesy of k-skit.com. At the moment we do not know if this color scheme will return during 2025. However, a reverse color scheme called "Deep Night" will release during Spring. See below photos of this pair and the rest of the colors that are releasing.
The model will release during Spring 2025 in three colorways for men ("Black", "Jade Horizon" and "Deep Night"). The shoe will also be available for women during Spring 2025 in two colorways ("Light Orweood Brown" and "Vivid Pink").
When is the Nike Aqua Turf releasing?
The release date has not yet been confirmed by Nike. Even so, the pairs we already have details about are scheduled to launch during Spring 2025. As a result, it is possible we will see the vintage model on store shelves starting in January 2025.
