After countless rumors and leaks, the official images of the Air Jordan 4 "Bred Reimagined" confirm the release during this Spring.
As one of the original colorways in which the Air Jordan 4 launched back in 1989, the âBred Reimaginedâ version looks like it can even handle bad weather. Staying perfectly true to the original color, Jordan Brand chooses to play with the materials, using leather instead of the nubuck that is usually used. Every collector wants this model, as it is one of the most anticipated Jordan Retro releases of 2024. For younger fans who have never had a pair of Jordan 4 âBredâ until now, this is the moment they have been waiting for for years. That being said, this pair will definitely be hard to secure at its retail price.
Of all the colorways produced by Jordan Brand, "Bred" remains by far the most famous. The nickname for the red and black combination first appeared in 1985, as one of the original colorways for the Air Jordan 1. That model is actually the one Michael Jordan was banned from wearing in official games. The story goes that Michael Jordan was fined $5,000 every time he wore them. The term "Bred" is still used today to describe the black and red color combination (black + red = bred, an explanation taken from an Air Jordan 1 Mid).
Nike Reimagined is a selection of products that Nike reinterprets using colors from the original models. By changing elements such as the materials used or a productâs finishes and details, they create a new take on a classic. Nike Reimagined debuted with the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG âLost & Foundâ, although unofficially the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG âPatent Bredâ is considered the first model in this series. In addition to these, the selection already includes the Air Jordan 3 Retro âWhite Cementâ and the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG âRoyalâ.
