According to multiple internal documents, Nike is releasing the "Jackie Robinson" color scheme during Summer 2027. According to the speculative mock-up, the Sail upper pairs Royal Blue accents with speckled Cement Gray overlays, while the heel tabs spotlight Nike Air branding. Information about this release was initially published exclusively via Sneaker Market in collaboration with Sneaker Files and zSneakerHeadz.
The pair comes with style code JJ9189-101, an official "Sail/Multi-Color" colorway, a $220 retail price, and is releasing on April 15th, 2027. The white leather upper features a perforated toe box, white mesh quarter panels, blue plastic eyelets, and a royal blue tongue lining. Gray cement-speckled detailing covers the triangular wing eyelet panel, tongue, heel strip, and sections of the midsole, while the heel views add red Robinson labels, Nike Air branding on the left shoe, and Jackie Robinson's 42 on the right. Royal blue returns across the midsole, heel clips, and outsole, with a visible Air unit in the heel completing the tooling. Nike has not confirmed this release, with the brand typically avoiding confirming limited-edition launches this far in advance.
