Although the sneaker and streetwear scene in Romania is constantly growing, there was a complete lack of a major event bringing together retailers, resellers, and the most important sneaker brands. Events like Sole and Shape, Sneakers & Burgers, or Kickin’ It have always brought the community together, but this will be the first buy-and-sell type event that also includes participation from stores.
This event is set to take place starting on September 23 in Bucharest at Combinatul Fondului Plastic, when the first edition of Sneakers & Co. will be held, a festival dedicated to the community. We are promised a sneaker exhibition, buy-and-sell stands, art installations, giveaways and special releases, along with live acts and parties from artists such as Amuly, Bruja, Vlad Dobrescu, PRNY and Lu-K Beats, On The Block and Disco Sigaretta.
Sneaker Industry, Footshop, Converse Romania and adidas Romania are just a few of the exhibitors present, together with partners such as UniCredit Bank, Ursus, Pepsi and Glo. They are joined by around 50 resellers.
The event starts on September 23 and runs until September 25, 2022. Tickets are available on the Sneakers & Co. website and can be purchased for the entire duration of the event (3 day pass – 90 lei) or for each day (1 day pass – 40 lei).
We’re glad to see initiatives like this and we’re curious to see how this edition of the biggest event of its kind in our country will turn out. Who are we meeting there? 🙋♂️
