The Romanian Football Federation is announcing the launch of the new National Team kit under the campaign concept “The shirt that makes us seen”.
The new kit marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Generation of Soul, with the goal of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. The centerpiece is the yellow jersey, a symbol of the tradition and passion of Romanian supporters. Inspired by the iconic model worn at the 1994 World Cup, the new design combines modern aesthetics with the symbolic power of the past. The tricolor is subtly highlighted through side stripes visible from any angle, reminding us that national identity is always present, no matter where we are.
Alongside the yellow jersey, the collection also includes two alternate kits in red and blue, used for away matches to highlight the tricolor. The jersey design was created by Jean Popescu, a Romanian designer based in Copenhagen, who is passionate about football shirts and the stories behind them. Since 2020, he has been telling stories through images and jerseys, connecting young people with the history of Romanian football, when he began writing detailed articles about the culture and tradition of football shirts.
The National Team will debut the new kit in the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, scheduled for March 21 at the National Arena. The launch of the new kit marks the beginning of a journey toward the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada – the first two being countries that bring back unforgettable memories for Romanian football. With this kit, the Generation of the Heart continues to write a story that makes us seen all over the world.
When is the new jersey releasing?
The new kit launched on March 19, 2025 and is available on the FRF store for 399 lei. This kit will be worn by the Romania National Team throughout the 2025/26 season. See official images of the new kit below and check the list of partner stores where you can find the jerseys in stock.
