Nike Sends You to Space

Nike Sends You to Space from University Square

Nike is inviting its fans to discover the new Air Max DN model during an activation that combines virtual reality with a zero-gravity simulator, letting them experience the feeling of floating in space, all set up alongside a giant Nike shoe box in the center of the capital.

For the first time in our country, as the ten-year anniversary of the first Air Max Day celebration approaches, Nike, through distributor Sport Time, is launching an extraordinary installation that explores the history of Air Max over time and invites visitors to experience zero gravity.

The Nike Air Max Dn Booth is located in the city center, in University Square, and the experience will be open to the general public every day from April 10 to 14, between 10:00 and 18:00.

Through the installation, visitors will step into a giant sneaker box where they will have the chance to discover the history of Air Max models, as well as the latest model developed by Nike’s innovation labs: the Air Max DN. Once they exit the box, they will be able to try the anti-gravity VR simulator and experience the real “walking in space” phenomenon together with Nike, a unique sensation felt by astronauts in outer space.

To make the experience complete, Nike will have plenty of surprises ready on-site for fans who are prepared to correctly answer questions about the history of the iconic Air Max model. Brand lovers will be able to win a voucher through which, when purchasing the newest Air Max DN model from the Nike Băneasa Shopping City store, they will receive a limited-edition trophy box as a gift.

The Nike Sportswear team is preparing a new special release for Air Max Day 2024, a new Air Max DN model inspired by the iconic Air Max TN....

“We are extremely excited that, for the first time since our brand entered the market, we will be able to interact with our fans through a unique experimental installation that pays tribute to Air technologies. The installation, set up at kilometer zero in Romania’s capital, is inspired by the new sneaker from the Air Max family – the Air Max DN – developed by Nike researchers in close collaboration with design and robotics experts at the Nike Innovation Lab in Portland, Oregon.”
