Nike is launching the new Nike Pegasus Premium during Spring 2025. The new Pegasus comes with the first sculpted and visible Air Zoom unit from the Beaverton-based brand.
UPDATE 09/01/2025: Nike released official images today of the new Nike Pegasus Premium "Football Grey". The new model is launching this year on Nike.com. It will also be available at select partner retailers. The model is releasing in both men's and women's size runs. The pair comes with product codes HQ2592-002 (Men's SKU) and HQ2593-001 (Women's SKU). The new Nike Pegasus Premium will have a suggested retail price of 1049.99 lei.

Designed with the same ambition that inspired Nike’s boldest Air creations, the Pegasus Premium optimizes Nike Air to deliver an efficient, responsive feel, unlike any other Zoom cushioning system to date.
The visible Air Zoom unit is sculpted from forefoot to heel, contoured to efficiently transfer the runner’s power from heel strike to toe-off. The unit cushions the runner’s landing and allows a smooth transition into the next step. For decades, Nike innovators have designed around flat Air Zoom units to deliver full energy return. But with Nike’s mastery of emerging tools like computational design, AI engines and rapid prototyping, designers can now bend Air units into new curves that more closely mirror the shape of the foot, leading to new levels of efficiency.
Adding Nike ZoomX foam in the midsole and ReactX foam in the heel creates a new cushioning system – a smooth, propulsive ride mile after mile – that optimizes energy return for runners. In fact, with its full-length, single Air Zoom unit and strategically placed foam, the Pegasus Premium returns more energy to the runner than any other model in the Pegasus franchise to date.

Designers, engineers, and scientists at Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation and the Nike Sport Research Lab worked together to deliver an entirely new underfoot Air sensation for runners. Digital capabilities such as finite element analysis, a computerized method for predicting how a product will react to physical forces, helped Nike teams test the sculpted Air unit to predict how it would respond to the repeated impacts of running.
To create a secure fit over the sole, the upper is designed with a circular knit. The same dynamic system is used for the midfoot in the Pegasus product line. The upper is reinforced in specific areas of the lateral and medial forefoot that need more support while running.
Both a signal of Nike’s super-cycle of innovation and proof of the power of its Air technology, the Pegasus Premium embodies the company’s ability to listen to and serve athletes.
When is the Nike Pegasus Premium with the first curved Air Zoom unit releasing?
The Nike Pegasus Premium is releasing in the Airscape version on Nike.com, on the Nike App and at select running specialty stores. A release date has not yet been announced. However, we already know that the model is part of the Nike Spring 2025 catalog. As a result, the launch will take place between January and March. Most likely, Nike will organize a special release for the first model. Afterward, it will be available at all specialty retailers.
