Nike Basketball is celebrating 11 years since the launch of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low "Moonwalker", releasing this colorway again during Fall 2025.
The Nike Kobe 9 color scheme "Moonwalker" (or "Hyper Grape") originally released in 2014. It pays tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, which is where the name comes from. The basketball shoes feature a fully purple upper, a silver Nike Swoosh logo and a black midsole. The outsole has a moon-like texture ("Moonrock"), referencing the artist’s famous "Moonwalk". The 2024 edition comes with the same color scheme as 11 years ago. The product uses the colors "Hyper Grape / White / Cave Purple" in the official description. The model is releasing in men’s sizing, from 6 US to 18 US. For now, the brand has not yet confirmed the release rumors. In general, Nike avoids confirming rumors about limited-edition drops.
