Nike has recently published official images of the Nike Book 2 Premium "Eggplant", confirming the pair is part of the upcoming Fall 2026 lineup. Its deep purple and black palette gives the streamlined basketball model a dark, tonal finish with brighter purple webbing and pull-tab accents.
Inspired by the classic Nike Air Foamposite One “Eggplant” colorway, the pair comes with style code IV5772-500, an official "Varsity Purple / Black / Varsity Purple" colorway, an $155 retail price, and is releasing on August 10th, 2026. A deep Varsity Purple molded upper carries a tonal Swoosh and sculpted sidewall channels that build a layered, armored profile, while a black padded collar, textured mesh tongue, and black laces frame the top half. Purple webbing runs through the lace system, and the tongue and heel pull tabs carry BOOK and CHAPTER TWO branding for a clear signature touch. Underfoot, the broad black midsole wrap sits above a translucent icy outsole, with black rubber traction arranged in concentric circular zones, sharp zigzag edges, and star-like pivot centers.
