Nike Basketball and Kevin Durant have officially unveiled the KD 19, a new chapter in Durant’s signature line built around instant response, all-game comfort, and locked-in support.
The model centers on a multilayer cushioning package led by the return of full-length Zoom Strobel, first introduced in the KD 12. Nike pairs that setup with a 3D-molded sock liner and Cushlon 3.0 foam to keep the ride plush and reactive through four quarters. The upper’s defining visual is the sculpted TPU dagger, executed through a dual-injection process. One pass is tuned for heel and midfoot lockdown, while the second shapes the aggressive “Slim Reaper” inspired sidewall design.
“Across basketball, few players are as smooth or as dangerous from anywhere on the court as Kevin Durant” says Ross Klein, VP, Creative Director, Nike Basketball. “The KD19 embodies that edge: visually distinct, built for instant responsiveness and all-game comfort, helping players get to any spot and knock down any shot.”
Additional details include a breathable textile tongue, a stabilizing midfoot shank, and outsole graphics that combine Durant’s 35 and 7 jersey numbers. The new Kevin Durant signature model pushes both performance function and statement design in equal measure, with pairs set to retail starting at $155, with premium versions reaching $180.
When is the Nike KD 19 releasing?
The Nike KD 19 first appeared on-court on March 16 and currently has a two-step launch schedule. Nike says the model will release June 13th exclusively through SNKRS, followed by a broader global rollout on June 17th via select Nike Baskeball retailers worldwide.
