Before the celebration of the prestigious Air Max Day, the Beaverton-based brand is once again focusing attention on the Nike Air Max 1 model. In addition to re-releasing the Shima Shima version and the pair with the enlarged Air unit in the sole (Tinker Hatfield’s prototype), Nike is also preparing its next premium design, nicknamed "Escape".
Inspired by the landscape of the Pacific Northwest coast, the sneakers feature black embroidery around the heel, while the monochromatic tones stand out through white mesh inserts that strongly contrast with the black lining and the suede along the edge of the shoe. While "Slate Blue" tones dominate the overlapping "Soft Grey" nubuck panel at midfoot, illuminated red accents on the laces, heel and Nike Air branded tongue label also stand out, completing the extremely diverse palette of shades and textures.
