Nike continues to release different colorways of the Air Max 1 during 2024, with one of the new color schemes being the women’s-exclusive "Pure Platinum / Sail".
The Nike Air Max 1 ’87 "Pure Platinum / Sail" comes with an upper featuring grey leather panels ("Pure Platinum") and white mesh. The mid-panel behind the Nike Swoosh logo is grey, just like on many other Nike Air Max 1 models. The inner lining is white, while the insole uses the same shade of grey as the shoe’s panels. At the same time, grey was also used for the outsole. The midsole uses the cream color ("Sail") to provide contrast for the model. The Nike Air Max 1 "Pure Platinum" is set to be available exclusively in women’s sizes (from 35.5 to 44.5 EU).
