Nike is re-releasing the iconic Nike Air Griffey Max 1 during the Winter of 2025 in the "Freshwater" color scheme, originally launched in 2021.
Although it is too early to talk about an official release date, we already have information about a new Nike restock. According to several internal documents, the brand plans to re-release the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 "Freshwater". The restock information was published exclusively on Sneaker Market in collaboration with Brandon1an (via X, formerly Twitter).
The pair comes with product code DM8311-001 and the "Black / Multi-Color / Fresh Water / White / Varsity Red / Metallic Silver" color scheme, exactly like the 2021 version. As a result, this is a restock and not a retro release. The model features a green and black upper and a black midsole with white detailing. The Nike Swoosh logo on the upper is colored in white, just like the number 24 on the ankle area. For now, Nike has not confirmed the release rumors. In general, the brand avoids confirming rumors about limited-edition launches.
When is Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Freshwater” Restock releasing?
The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Freshwater” is set to release during Winter 2025 on Nike.com and at select Nike partner retailers. For now, the brand has not yet announced an exact release date. However, we already know that the pair is part of the Nike Holiday 2025 seasonal catalog. As a result, we expect the model to launch sometime between October and December. See below for official images of the 2021 version while we wait for more release details.
On another note, Jordan Brand and Off-White are launching a new Air Jordan 1 Retro High in 2025.
