Although Jacquemus x Nike collaborations are not necessarily the most sought-after by consumers, the brands are continuing their partnership during the Summer of 2024. According to Simon Porte’s website, they are set to release three different colorways of the Nike Air Max 1.
The Air Max 1 version used is the one from 1986, which comes with a large Air unit. However, this one is different from regular releases. Although the sole used is very similar to the ’86 version, there is one major difference. The sole used for the collaboration is a custom one, with a square Air unit, produced only for these three pairs.
Besides the sole, all three colorways also feature a modified mudguard. The toe area stops at the side instead of wrapping around the foot. The panels on the upper have also been changed, with some of them removed. The Swoosh logo used is also very small and silver.
All three models embrace the currently popular Y2K look. While the white and red versions have already appeared on other Air Max 1 projects, the "Silver" version has a unique look. Seen from above, the model looks like a luxury shoe, not like a pair of Nike sneakers.
The two brands are releasing three Air Max 1 colorways together – red, white and silver. The names used on the French brand’s website are "White", "Dark Red" and "Silver". According to several sources, the "Silver" pair may release exclusively on the partner’s website.
When is the Jacquemus x Nike Air Max 1 collection releasing?
The two brands have not yet announced a release date. However, the three "Air Max 1" colorways have been uploaded to the French luxury brand’s website together with the message “COMING SOON”.
As a result, the pairs may launch very soon on the partner brand’s website. We expect the sneakers to go on sale during June 2024 on the Nike SNKRS app, shortly after their release on the Jacquemus website.
