First teased in late May, the Air Jordan 5 âUniversity Blue (UNC)â has finally surfaced via official images ahead of its anticipated March 2023 release.
Similar to an Air Jordan 4 that dropped in April 2023, the unreleased retro featured suede material clad in âUniversity Blueâ flair across its entire upper. Mesh and TPU components momentarily interrupt the arrangement, but the hairy construction steals the spotlight on the upcoming Air Jordan. A reflective silver finish appears on the top of the tongue like it did upon the sneakerâs debut in 1990, while the outsole underfoot indulges in an icy blue finish that complements the titular University of North Carolina-inspired color well. Traditional branding on the spine is replaced with a modern Team Jumpman patch; inner-lining takes on a mesh build that also delivers an updated design cue to the third signature sneaker for Michael Jordan created by Tinker Hatfield.
