Jordan Brand is preparing to re-release an Air Jordan 4 in the "Black Cat" color scheme in 2025, the most popular colorway in recent years.
UPDATE 02/01/2025: One month after the release was confirmed, we have new information about the upcoming Air Jordan 4 "Black Cat". According to zSneakerHeadz, the pair is set to release with Nike Air branding. We can also confirm that the model will release in a full family size run. A possible release date for this colorway is November 28, 2025 (Black Friday).
UPDATE 07/12/2024: According to several industry sources, the Air Jordan 4 "Black Cat" is releasing during Winter 2024. The release has already been confirmed, with the product codes already published online. The pair is releasing in adult sizes with product code FQ8138-010 and in kids' sizes with product code FQ8213-010. For now, the brand has not yet confirmed an exact release date.
The Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” is probably the most popular AJ4 colorway from the pandemic era. The color scheme was initially released in 2006, with a Retro version arriving in 2020. The edition releasing in 2025 will be the third edition, including the original version (or the second Retro edition for this colorway). Also, in 2019 the brand collaborated with Olivia Kim, releasing the same color scheme made from pony hair, exclusively in a women’s size run. Besides this collaboration, the colorway has also appeared in a golf version, just like many other famous Air Jordan colorways.
The color scheme is made up of dark tones across the entire upper. Both the sole and the shoe’s details are dressed in black and grey. The original version uses “Black” and “Light Graphite” tones in the colorway. The Jumpman logo on the heel has a glossy finish, just like the details around the lacing area. The new Air Jordan 4 is releasing during the second half of 2025. Most likely, it will be available in a full size run for adults and kids (Grade School SKU). At the moment, we do not know if the model will also release in Preschool (PS) and Toddler (TD) sizes. However, we expect Jordan Brand to release the model in sizes for the whole family. Nike has not yet confirmed the release rumors. In general, the brand avoids confirming rumors about limited-edition drops. Most likely, we will start seeing teasers from Nike during the Summer of 2025.
When is the Air Jordan 4 Black Cat releasing?
The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Black Cat" is scheduled to release during the second half of 2025 on Nike.com and at select Air Jordan Retro partner retailers. For now, the rumors have not been confirmed by Jordan Brand. As a result, the release date is not yet known. We already know that the model is part of the seasonal Nike Holiday 2025 catalog. As a result, the pair will release between October and December 2025. According to zSneakerHeadz, the Air Jordan 4 "Black Cat" will release on November 28, 2025. In other news, the famous Air Jordan 4 Retro "White Cement" is releasing again in 2025. The 2025 edition comes with a higher price tag than usual.
