adidas Originals and CLOT by Edison Chen have unveiled the Mundial Collection, a football-rooted capsule that reframes archival adidas language through global cultural storytelling and material experimentation.
At the center is the CLOT Mundial, built with a premium leather upper, raffia Three Stripes, and an espadrille sole, while the CLOT Samba pairs a Samba Millennium upper with a suede toe cap and raffia bottom. Apparel extends the concept through Teamgeist-inspired knit jerseys and supporting pieces including the Heritage Print Short, Baja Hoodie, Refined Utility Short Sleeve Shirt, and Bandana Slider.
As the press release frames the concept, “football has always been more than a game; it is a shared global language.”
The campaign introduces Raphinha and Luis Díaz through an anime chapter directed by Annie Choi, blending sport and narrative while incorporating visual nods to the adidas Trionda World Cup match ball. The broader message positions the collection as a forward-looking continuation of football heritage rather than a nostalgic retrospective.
When is adidas Originals x CLOT Mundial Collection releasing?
The rollout begins through CONFIRMED app signups for footwear, with apparel already available to purchase through the same channel. The full collection is scheduled to release on May 2nd, 2026 via the CONFIRMED app, adidas.com, and select stores. That timing places the launch in adidas Originals’ pre-World Cup cultural buildout for 2026. With signups opening April 22nd, 2026 and full launch following in early May, the collection moves from early-access demand to broad availability quickly.
