Although it is too early to talk about an official release date, we already have information about a new Air Jordan Retro release from 2026. According to several internal documents, the brand is launching an Air Jordan 5 Retro "Black / University Blue" during Fall 2026. The information was published exclusively on Sneaker Market in collaboration with Sneaker Files and zSneakerHeadz.
The model comes with product codes DD0587-008 (Men's SKU), 440888-008 (Grade School SKU), 440889-008 (Pre-School SKU), 440890-008 (Toddler SKU) and the "Black/University Blue/White" color scheme. Given the color scheme, we expect this to be the Air Jordan 5 Retro LS "Black & University Blue" from 2006. For now the brand has not confirmed any release details. In general the brand avoids confirming rumors about limited-edition releases. Most likely we will find out more details about the release starting in 2026. The color scheme was originally released in 2006, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the model’s debut. The release is part of a pack of several major Air Jordan 5 drops.
