
Jordan Brand is launching a new Air Jordan 17 Retro special edition during Fall 2026, this time using the "Black Patent" theme.
UPDATE 12/04/2025: According to zSneakerHeadz, the new Air Jordan 17 Retro "Black Patent" is scheduled to release on August 8, 2026. Nike has not yet confirmed this release date. See below for the first images of the new 2026 release.
Even though it is too early to talk about an official release date, we already have information about a new limited-edition Jordan release from 2026. According to multiple industry sources, the brand is launching a new Air Jordan 17 "Black Patent" during Fall 2026. The release information was shared exclusively by Sneaker Files and zSneakerHeadz.
The new Air Jordan 17 Retro "Black Patent" comes with product code IV7640-001 and the "Black/Black/Metallic Silver" color scheme. According to the previously mentioned sources, the pair will look like in the images shown below. For now, the brand has not yet confirmed the rumors about this release. In general, Nike avoids confirming rumors about upcoming limited-edition launches in the near future. Most likely we will find out more information about this release starting during the Summer of 2026.
When is Air Jordan 17 Retro "Black Patent" during Fall 2026. releasing?
The Air Jordan 17 Retro "Black Patent" is releasing during Fall 2026 on Nike.com and at select Air Jordan Retro partner stores. At the moment, Nike has not yet confirmed an exact release date. However, we already know that the model is part of the Nike Fall 2026 seasonal catalog. As a result, we expect the new model to release between July and September.
