Footshop was founded in 2011 with just 50 pairs in stock. After opening their first store in 2014, they became an Adidas Consortium retailer in 2015, representing the most premium Adidas partner stores. Footshop initially opened stores in Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest, and later decided to open a store in Bucharest. Here, you can find limited edition products and the most important sneaker releases.

Footshop Bucharest opened in November 2019, just before the start of the pandemic. This was the company’s fifth store, located very close to Calea Victoriei and the Old Town, both popular areas in Bucharest. The store offers the latest products from Nike Sportswear, Adidas Originals, Asics, Stussy, Salomon, Y-3, and many other brands. Footshop Bucharest is the only Adidas Consortium store in Romania, giving it access to limited editions, collaborations, Y-3, and Yeezy Boost.

Romania is an important market for the company, with the city ranking first in online orders on their website. The idea of opening a store in Romania was reportedly considered internally as early as 2018. The store is open every day during the week. Online orders can be picked up in-store, as the “store pickup” option is available at checkout. Occasionally, Footshop also hosts parties and product launches in the store.
