Rumors about the collaboration first surfaced from Elden Monitors on X (formerly Twitter) a few months ago. There, he mentioned that the two brands would collaborate again soon. Later, he also claimed that the famous Air Jordan 1 "Canary Yellow" would be released, but that information turned out not to be true. However, a new product code recently appeared in the Air Jordan release calendar for 2025. Also, on Virgil Abloh's birthday (on September 30, 2024), Frank Cooke posted two images of a white prototype pair of Air Jordan 1 x Off-White. Frank was part of the Jordan Brand team until 2018, and he was also responsible for the Off-White collaborations. Recently, he announced that he is returning to Nike.
At the moment we do not know whether this is the Europe-exclusive "Triple White" color scheme that was originally released in 2018. At the same time, it is possible that this is a new color scheme inspired by the prototype posted by Frank Cooke. Recently we also saw a sample with a black upper posted online. As a result, we can expect anything from these two brands. The pair is referred to as "ALASKA" in certain internal documents. It is possible that this is a reference to Virgil Abloh’s creative agency "Alaska Alaska". We expect to learn more details starting in 2025.
