Nike SB is launching a limited edition Dunk Low Pro with the nickname "Burgundy Crush" during February 2024 to celebrate Valentineās Day.
Nikeās design team releases anniversary models every year for holidays such as Chinese New Year or Valentineās Day. This year, Nike SB is bringing us a Dunk Low inspired by a myth from East Asian culture. The story says there is an invisible thread tied around the fingers of soulmates, which will eventually bring the two people together. Nike SB is always trying to create limited editions that have a story behind them, and this pair is the perfect example. While the upper is painted in neutral tones, the red thread is used for all the shoeās details. First, the stitching around the midsole uses a red thread. On top of that, the woven tongue label shows the red thread as it wraps around the Swoosh logo. Last but not least, the insole features an illustration that confirms the inspiration drawn from Asian culture.
The model uses suede for the burgundy panels on the upper. The lateral Swoosh logo has been doubled and oversized, a practice often seen on Air Jordan 1 models. Both the midsole and outsole are burgundy, featuring a grey/white speckle effect. However, the outsole also includes a red area: the background of the Nike SB logo. To complete the story, the shoe also comes with a set of red laces.
Even though the best Nike SB Valentineās Day release is still considered the collaboration with Strangelove Skateboards, we are sure the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro "City of Love" pair will also be appreciated by Nike SB collectors.
