Nike and Sabrina Ionescu are preparing a new Nike Sabrina 1 in the Oregon Ducks team colors.
Sabrina Ionescu played for the Oregon Ducks from 2016 to 2020, helping Oregon reach the NCAA Final Four in 2019. Unfortunately, the NCAA Tournament in her senior season was wiped out by the pandemic. In the year before Sabrina signed with the Ducks, the womenâs basketball team averaged 1,629 fans per game. In her first year, they averaged 2,595, jumping to almost 5,000 fans in her second year.
To honor the womenâs basketball team, Nike and Sabrina Ionescu are launching a color scheme inspired by the Oregon Ducks. The upper is half green, half yellow, with Sabrinaâs logo embroidered in yellow on the tongue. The lateral side also features the text âQUACKâ, a reference to the basketball teamâs nickname. The model is set to release in an extended unisex size run, from EU 35.5 to EU 46.
