Nike Basketball is launching a new Nike Kobe 5 Protro "X-Ray" on October 17, 2024, inspired by the T-shirt worn by Kobe Bryant.
The Nike Kobe 5 Protro "X-Ray" is a tribute to Kobe Bryant and is inspired by a Nike T-shirt he wore that featured the X-ray of his broken hand and five championship rings. The pair comes in a "Deep Royal Blue / Baltic Blue / Glacier Blue" color scheme, releasing on October 17, 2024 at a price of 899 lei. The overall upper design resembles the Air Force 1 "Skeleton", which has released in multiple colorways for Halloween. The different shades of blue used are a nod to the tones that appear in an X-ray. The model releases in a unisex size run from 3.5 US to 18 US at a price of 180 dollars (899 lei).

The Nike Kobe 5 Protro "X-Ray" is releasing during Winter 2024 on Nike.com and at select Nike Basketball partner stores. At the moment, Nike has not yet confirmed an exact release date.
