
Nike Basketball and Vanessa Bryant are preparing to launch a new Kobe 5 Protro "University Red" during the Spring of 2025.
The new Kobe 5 Protro pair has been revealed as part of Nike’s Spring 2025 season. Even though it is far too early to confirm the release, both the product code and the color scheme have already been confirmed by multiple sources. The pair comes in the "University Red / Black / Metallic Gold" colorway, suggesting a possible pack with the Kobe 5 "Eggplant" pair revealed by zSneakerHeadz. The new color scheme will release in a unisex size run from US 6 to US 18. The official release date is not known, however the pair may release on January 16, 2025. Nike has not confirmed the release, generally refusing to comment on rumors of this kind.

The Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Year Of The Mamba" is scheduled to release during Spring 2025 on the Nike SNKRS app and at select Nike Basketball partner retailers. For now, Nike has not officially confirmed the launch and has not published official images of the new model.
