Nike Basketball is re-releasing the iconic Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Lower Merion Aces (Away)" during Spring 2026, originally launched in 2010.
Although it is too early to talk about an official release date, we already have information about a new Nike Kobe release from 2026. According to several internal documents, Nike plans to re-release the famous Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Lower Merion Aces (Away)". The release information was published exclusively on Sneaker Market.
The model comes with product codes IM0557-001 (Men's SKU), HM9522-001 (Grade School SKU) and the "Metallic Silver/Team Red/White" color scheme. The colorway matches perfectly with the one seen on the 2010 model. We expect the pair to be identical to the release from 16 years ago. For now, Nike has not yet confirmed the release rumors. In general, the brand avoids confirming rumors about limited-edition drops. So far, Vanessa Bryant has been the first person to announce new Nike Kobe releases. As a result, we expect the release to be confirmed by Vanessa Bryant soon.
