Union LA and Jordan Brand are launching a triple collaboration with Fragment Design soon, working together on a new Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG.
UPDATE 25/04/2025: In addition to the previously mentioned "Sport Royal" version, the brand also plans to release a "Black & White" variant. For now, Nike has not confirmed the rumors about the release of the two models in collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara and Union LA.
UPDATE 17/04/2025: According to several internal documents, the new Fragment x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is set to release during Spring 2026. The pair comes with product code IO7847-001 and the "Black / Navy / Sport Royal / Sail" color scheme. For now, Nike has not confirmed the rumors.
UPDATE 26/02/2025: The release of the Fragment x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG collaboration was confirmed today by Chris Gibbs from Union LA in an exclusive interview with John Kim from Sneaker News. Among the details mentioned in the interview, we also learned that the Fragment Design x Union LA project first came about while Jordan Brand was filming its Super Bowl commercial (which features both Chris Gibbs and Hiroshi Fujiwara). The “UNC / Royal” pair was also supposed to release, but due to factory limitations, the brand only produced 100 pairs for Chris Gibbs, and he is considering selling them for charity. After releasing the 4th Air Jordan 1, the brand plans to experiment with other models.
UPDATE 02/23/2025: Although the Spring 2025 season is almost over, no one has been able to confirm this release so far. No industry website has published a product code or a color scheme associated with the new project. As a result, we expect the release to be canceled.
UPDATE 10/24/2024: According to several industry sources, the model is set to be a combination of the classic "Fragment Blue" color scheme and the famous "Bred / Banned". See below a mock-up with a possible color blocking.
The first rumors about the Union LA x Air Jordan collaboration with Fragment Design surfaced on Twitter, where HORHEAD_Sales announced that there is an upcoming collaboration scheduled for release. At the moment, the product code and color scheme are not known. It is very likely that the sneakers will have the Fragment logo stamped on the heel. Considering that images of the new Union LA x Air Jordan 1 "Chicago / Shadow" appeared today, it is possible we will also see the new Fragment Design model soon. The brand has not yet confirmed the collaboration with Chris Union and his brand. In general, they avoid confirming rumors about limited-edition releases. We expect to learn more details about the limited-edition release starting in 2025.
When is the Fragment x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG releasing?
The Fragment x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG will most likely release during Spring 2025. It may be available on Nike.com and at Air Jordan Retro partner stores. For now, the brand has not yet confirmed a date or release method. However, it is very likely that the model will be part of the Nike Spring 2026 seasonal catalog. As a result, we expect the model to drop sometime between January and March 2026. Considering that the new Union LA x Air Jordan 1 "Chicago / Shadow" is releasing in February, it is possible that this collaboration will launch at the same time.
