The collaboration between Nike and Caitlin Clark on a model from the Kobe Protro line does not come as a surprise, considering her favorite basketball shoes are the Nike Kobe 5 and Nike Kobe 6. According to multiple industry sources, it appears that Nike is preparing a Nike Kobe 5 Protro model for her. The release information was published exclusively on Sneaker Market in collaboration with Brandon1an.
The pair comes with product code IM3207-400 and the "Midnight Navy / Midnight Navy / Bright Crimson" color scheme. Although the color blocking is not yet known, it is possible that this colorway will be a PE (Player Edition – a pair produced only for Nike athletes) worn by Caitlin Clark during September 2024. It is also possible that this will not be the only Nike Kobe model with Caitlin Clark’s signature releasing this year. For now, Nike has not confirmed the release rumors. In general, the brand avoids confirming rumors about limited-edition releases. We expect to learn more details about the release starting during the Winter of 2025.

The Caitlin Clark x Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Midnight Navy" is releasing during the Summer of 2025 on Nike.com and at select Nike Basketball partner retailers. The release date has not been announced yet. However, we already know that the new Kobe 6 is part of the Nike Summer 2025 seasonal catalog. As a result, the pair is expected to release between April and June 2025.
