UPDATE 07/12/2024: According to multiple industry sources, the Air Jordan 12 "Taxi" is releasing during Winter 2024. The Air Jordan 12 "Taxi" is one of the favorite color schemes among Michael Jordan fans and Air Jordan 12 fans. The model was originally released in 1996, later receiving Retro versions in 2008, 2013 and 2018. The brand also released a "Royalty Taxi" version in 2021. The edition releasing in 2025 will be the fifth edition, including the original version (or the fourth Retro edition for this colorway). The "Taxi" color scheme was the first colorway for the Air Jordan 12 in 1996, followed by four other colorways in 1997.
The color scheme features a white leather upper with a black side panel. The outsole comes in black, while the shoe’s detailing is done in gold. The black panel also extends onto the midsole, which includes a small white portion. The dark tone continues on the heel, where it serves as the background for the embossed red “23” text. The shoe’s lining is also black, while the metallic lace hardware is gold. The new Air Jordan 12 Retro is releasing during the second half of 2025, most likely in a full family size run.
