Every year around the Holiday Season, Jordan Brand gifts us with an Air Jordan 11. In the past, we’ve seen the return of the “Concord” and “Bred” as well as the debut of new and innovative make-ups like the “Jubilee” and the self-lacing AJ11 Adapt. For 2022, the Jumpman is going a bit against the grain, translating the colorway of the AJ11 Low “Cherry” to the silhouette’s mid-top trim.
After many, many months of anticipation, official images of the Air Jordan 11 “Cherry” have finally surfaced. The Tinker Hatfield-designed creation features standard patent leathers on the mudguard, herein dressed in the titular “Cherry” red. The adjacent branding, as well as the outsole, lining, sockliner, and heel tab feature matching accents. The heel tab also features “23” in thin, white-colored font. The icy blue bottom is the only exception to the use of neutral colors elsewhere on the shoe, including the mesh and leather upper, lace unit, and midsole.
The Jordan 11 Retro released in 1996. It was designed by Tinker Hatfield and is the eleventh Air Jordan shoe released. The shoe has a patent leather upper and a carbon fiber shank plate. It is the first Air Jordan shoe release with a Jumpman logo on the heel. The Jordan 11 Retro was voted the best basketball shoe of 1996 by Sneaker News.
