Since its debut in 1985, the story of the Air Jordan 1 has been a key element in the success of the Air Jordan brand. During this Summer, the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG is releasing in the "UNC to CHI" color scheme.
The colors are inspired by young Michael Jordan’s move from the University of North Carolina to the Chicago Bulls, a concept that has been used in the past on other sneaker models such as the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC to CHI”. The pair keeps all the essential details of this concept, from the “Dark Powder Blue” and “Gym Red” color accents to the black used as a backdrop for the Swoosh and on the toe area as well. The side panels are made from a mix of smooth and textured leather, staying true to the tradition of using premium materials for limited-edition Air Jordan models. The pristine white midsole shines as it completes the design, while the red outsole makes one last reference to the Chicago Bulls.
Check out the official photos of the women's retro version while you wait for the release on Nike SNKRS, scheduled for July 26, 2023.
