UPDATE 05/02/2025: According to zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files (via X, formerly Twitter), the new Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG is releasing on October 18, 2025. The pair also comes with a larger-than-usual Nike Swoosh logo (similar to the 2016 version, images below).
When is the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “Chicago” releasing?
After multiple rumors, we finally have confirmation that Nike is releasing the famous Air Jordan 1 Low “Chicago” color scheme at the end of 2025. The information first appeared on X (formerly Twitter), where zSneakerHeadz published the product code, color scheme and a possible release date. The model comes in the “Varsity Red / Black / Summit White” color scheme. According to Sneaker Files, the pair will feature a larger Swoosh logo. The logo is expected to be similar to the version released almost 10 years ago, in 2016. For now, the brand has not confirmed the release rumors. In general, they avoid confirming rumors about limited-edition drops. However, several retailers have already added the model to their 2025 release calendars.
The Air Jordan 1 High "Chicago" is an original colorway from 1985. However, the Low version is not an "OG Colorway". It was first released in 2016. This color scheme was also released in the Slip version (2019) and later Golf (2023). As a result, the 2025 version is only the second edition in almost 40 years.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG "Chicago" is releasing during Winter 2025 on Nike.com and at select Air Jordan Retro partner stores. For now the brand has not yet confirmed an exact release date. However, we already know that the model is part of the Nike Holiday 2025 seasonal catalog. As a result, we expect the famous colorway to release between October and December 2025. See images below of the 2016 version while we wait for more details about the 2025 release.
