Initially rumored to release earlier in the year, the Air Jordan 1 Retro "Satin Bred" is finally launching on October 18, 2023.
Jordan Brand released the famous Air Jordan 1 "Bred" with a satin upper in 2016. Although the shoe was highly sought after, only 501 pairs were available, each individually numbered on the inside, which left many fans disappointed (especially women, since the numbered pair was produced only in men's sizes). Jordan Brand is set to release this Retro model again, this time available exclusively in women's sizing.
The pair uses the same colorway and colorblocking as the original 1985 model, with black and "University Red" shades used in equal measure. However, the leather panels have been replaced with luxurious satin overlays, bringing a softer texture and a different shape to this reworked Jordan 1 made exclusively for women. The "Wings" branding on the ankle is embroidered, and the Nike Air tongue tag is identical to the one on the original model, using a black background and red text, just like the white midsole and its red outsole.
