The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Vibrations of Naija” — officially referred to as the “Sail and Pale Vanilla,” according to the brand’s Summer 2023 preview — is the signature’s last release of the season. And in anticipation of the launch later this month, retailers have shared a detailed look at the upcoming colorway.
In 2020, the Swoosh paid tribute to Nigeria through the Nike Zoom Freak 2, Air Presto, and Air Max 95, applying bold patterns and a bright green color palette across all three pairs. The Air Jordan 1 “Vibrations of Naija” takes a very different artistic direction, one that is far more understated. Here, the leather panels are finished entirely in Sail, complementing the Pale Vanilla shade that colors not only the Wings logo but also the laces, outsole, and lining. Finally, the pair is completed by a unique woven textile material that wraps both the Swoosh and the collar.
