
Nike is launching a new pair of Air Jordan 1 High "Metallic Gold" during Fall 2024, definitely inspired by the Olympic Games.
Since 2024 is the year of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Nike is releasing several Olympic-themed sneaker models. In addition to the Nike Uptempo "Olympic" and Air Jordan 6 Retro "Olympic", the brand is also releasing a golden Air Jordan 1. The pair uses the same colorblocking as the "Bred", "Royal" and "Shadow" – the three most popular original colorways. The toebox, ankle and heel panels, as well as the Swoosh logo, are covered in gold, while the rest of the upper panels are dressed in black. The midsole is white, with a golden outsole. The model is releasing in a unisex size run from 3.5 US to 16 US. The sneakers are also releasing in kids' sizes (Grade School SKU), (Preschool SKU) and (Toddler SKU) at a lower price.
When is the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Metallic Gold” releasing?
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Metallic Gold" is releasing during Fall 2024 on Nike.com and at select Air Jordan Retro retailers. Nike has not yet announced an official release date. However, several sources have speculated that the pair will release on August 3, 2024. Check out the mock-up below (via zSneakerHeadz) while we wait for official images and more release details.
