Smith represents a generation in which sport and culture continue to overlap, helping bring the world of VIRGINIA to life through a distinctly contemporary lens. The release also extends the ongoing evolution of adidas Originals' celebrated Adistar franchise following a run of highly sought-after drops.
Since its debut, the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish has served as one of Pharrell Williams' clearest expressions of creative direction through VIRGINIA. By reshaping the adidas Adistar into a sculptural statement, the silhouette brings together innovation, imagination, and cultural influence; its recognition as Footwear News' 2025 Shoe of the Year has only added to the momentum behind its limited and global releases.
The Triple White colorway strips the design back to its most architectural essentials. Exaggerated proportions are joined by a wave-like midsole inspired by a floating jellyfish, while the layered mesh upper and exoskeletal cage build depth, movement, and dimension. A glow-in-the-dark feature provides another layer to the otherwise monochromatic presentation.
The release continues to expand the VIRGINIA universe, the creative platform through which Pharrell Williams reworks adidas heritage with playful experimentation, cultural credibility, and deliberately hyperbolic design. When is the VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish releasing?
The VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish in Triple White will be available at select adidas retailers, through the CONFIRMED app, and at adidas. com/pharrell. The release is scheduled for August 1st, 2026, with a $300 USD retail price. The launch arrives as the latest drop in the VIRGINIA universe during the Summer 2026 season. adidas' summer release window runs from July through September.
