The silhouette first arrived in 2025 and quickly became one of adidas Originals' most visible low-profile releases. Bad Bunny introduced it in 2024, giving the project a fresh lane inside the brand's archive-minded lifestyle approach.
The design borrows from the adidas Taekwondo, then shifts that reference into a sleeker lifestyle form. Premium suede wraps the toe and heel, while the low-profile shape and bungee-cord laces keep the fit modern and secure.
The sneaker also features unique Benito branding near the signature Three Stripes, plus an exterior sizing tag that nods back to his earlier adidas work.
The Flamboyán bloom gives the colorway a direct seasonal cue. In Puerto Rico, those trees mark the turn into summer, so the red Ballerina reads as both timely and unmistakably tied to the island.
The Vivid Red pair also extends the silhouette's recent cultural run. Bad Bunny wore the model during his sold-out Puerto Rico residency, the white pair appeared at the Super Bowl earlier this year, and the style was folded into adidas' World Cup campaign soon after.
