Air Max 1 fanatics have had a breadth of releases to choose from in 2022 as the brand continues the 35th Anniversary hoopla around the original Air Max shoe. Collaborations from the likes of Concepts and Kasina, as well as in-line models, have kept the energy alive and well. However, there is a batch of upcoming releases that belong in the top squad.
This first look at women’s Air Max 1 comes in a mix of obsidian, midnight navy, and gorge green above a classic white midsole and gum bottom combination. The suedes, leather, and mesh mix pleasantly standard on the upper, while varsity jacket patchwork appears via the NIKE lettering at the heel and the forefoot Swoosh logo.
Nike released the Air Max 1 in 1987. The Air Max 1 was the first Nike model to feature visible air in its sole, inspired by the Pompidou Centre. Because Georges Pompidou became the President of France in 1969, the Pompidou Centre was named after him. British architects Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano designed the centre. The building is unusual in that its internal and external structure is exposed. The Pompidou Centre is one of the most visited museums in the world, with over 3 million visitors each year.
Take a look at the official images below and expect the pair to release on Nike.com and with other Nike Sportswear retailers starting the 30th of September 2022.
