The Dub Zero is back. The Dub Zero first debuted in 2005 as the first-ever “hybrid” execution by the design team. The design merged a number of different Air Jordan legacy models onto one cohesive design while applying a laser-etched mosaic onto the upper. Although people scoff at these hybrid models today, they were selling like hotcakes because they provided a fresh new direction for Air Jordan footwear in the (second) post-retirement era.
The Jordan Dub Zero is indeed set to return in 2022 in original colorways, but Jordan Brand is touching on a contemporary trend by applying the familiar University Blue shade. Replacing the classic University Red, the UNC shade is featuring on the interior lining, upper accents, and on the rubber outsole of the shoes. The black patent leather and the tan/gold leather innard remain on the etched upper.
The Air Jordan Dub Zero model is a classic sneaker from the Jordan Brand. Tate Kuerbis designed it and it was first released in 2005. The Air Jordan XX inspired the sneaker, which features a full-grain leather upper, Phylon midsole, and a rubber outsole. The Dub Zero is a versatile sneaker that can be worn with casual or dressy attire. It’s a timeless sneaker that will always be in style.
